Governor Willie Obiano
Executive Governor Anambra State

Governor Obiano was born at Aguleri, a town in Anambra State, Eastern Nigeria.He received a bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Lagos in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from the same university.

Governor Obiano began his banking career in 1981 at the First Bank of Nigeria before he left to join the services of Chevron Oil Nigeria Plc as an accountant and rose to the position of Chief Internal Auditor. In 1989, he was one of the auditors that audited Texaco Refinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In 1991, he joined the Fidelity Bank as Deputy Manager and head of Audit unit and rose to the position of Executive Director on October 2003.

Obiano left the banking system to join Nigerian politics and in 2013 contested the November 16, 17 and 30 Anambra State gubernatorial elections on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. He won the election and was sworn in on March 17, 2014 to succeed Peter Obi. On November 14 2017, he was reelected as Governor.

Nkem Okeke
Deputy Governor Anambra State

Dr. Nkem Okeke has been the Deputy Governor of Anambra State since 17 March 2014 He first served as Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning, and again as Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Transport in the administration of Governor Peter Obi and later went back to immerse himself in academia as lecturer and head of department of economics at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Born into the family of R.N. Okeke, in Enugwu-Ukwu, Okeke holds a Ph.D in Monetary economics. He attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha and went abroad to attend the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he got his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and Howard University where he got his MBA and Ph.D respectively. He was until recently Head of Department of Economics Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Nkem is married with five children.

Solo Chukwulobelu
Secretary to the State Government

Solo Chukwulobelu is the present Secretary for the Anambra State Government basically known with the acronym 'SSG'. He was formerly the Commissioner for Economic Planning before assuming his current position.

Mark Okoye

Mark Okoye II is the newest and youngest Commissioner in Anambra State. Mark is a young man with good history, quality and class has just been confirmed as the Honorable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget Development by the Anambra State House of Assembly. He holds a B.Sc. Finance from the prestigious George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA and is an alumnus of several executive education courses and programmes, including Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, Euromoney, Dubai, UAE.

Mark Okoye possesses a unique combination of experience spanning governance, policy formulation, public sector financing, public budget analysis and corporate finance. Prior to his current role, he served in his current capacity for twenty (20) months during the last administration. Mark also served as a senior member of the investment banking division at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited where he was instrumental in executing numerous capital raising and financial advisory transactions. Currenttly on June, 2016 he was appointed the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning and budget
